DuksGC service guide
Concrete garage floor cleaning without guesswork
A garage floor collects more than loose dust. Tires bring in dirt, winter meltwater leaves residue, and vehicles or stored tools can leave oily marks. Floor cleaning starts with understanding the surface, not choosing the strongest chemical. DuksGC offers floor cleaning and degreasing within the appropriate garage-cleaning package in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph. We assess the floor and discuss the expected result before starting.
Concrete, road salt, and moisture
During an Ontario winter, snow and slush can melt inside the garage and carry road salt onto the floor. As water dries, residue can remain on the surface and around stored items. Repeated moisture and salt exposure can contribute to concrete deterioration, particularly where the floor is already worn or damaged. Removing loose dirt and cleaning residue helps maintain the space. It is not a concrete repair, however: existing cracks, flaking, and deep damage may still need a separate assessment. Tell us about problem areas before the clean.
Oil spots and degreasing
Oil and grease require a different approach from ordinary sweeping. We inspect the affected area and use suitable degreasing and scrubbing within the selected package. The age of a stain, the type of surface, and how far it has soaked in can affect the result. A floor can be cleaner while an old mark remains visible. We do not guarantee complete removal of every stain. If a vehicle or stored container is still leaking, address that source as well, otherwise new contamination can appear after the cleaning is finished.
Epoxy, paint, and sealed surfaces
Please identify any epoxy coating, paint, sealer, or other floor finish when you request a booking. Coatings differ, and worn or peeling areas need particular care. We assess the condition and select a suitable method rather than assuming all garage floors can handle the same product or pressure. Manufacturer care instructions are useful if you have them. Cleaning should not be treated as a way to restore a failed coating. Floor painting is an optional service agreed separately; it is not included simply because a floor is being scrubbed.
The agreed cleaning process
We begin by confirming access, the floor finish, and the scope of the package. Loose debris is swept away before detailed treatment. Where included, we apply an appropriate cleaner, treat oily buildup, and scrub the agreed floor area. Stored items need to be positioned so the work can be done safely; organization can be included through the relevant package. We discuss any areas that cannot be reached or cleaned safely. The final walkthrough and job photos help explain the work completed and any old marks that remain.
Preparing for a floor clean
Secure valuables and tell us about fragile items, electrical hazards, drainage issues, or coatings that need special care. Keep children and pets away from the work area. We do not haul away unwanted furniture or remove hazardous chemicals, so arrange those separately when necessary. You do not need to promise an empty garage before contacting us; describe what is there so we can plan realistically. Choose your garage size and package online, or text a photo with your question. We confirm the appointment, work, and price before starting.
